IACA’s Anti-Corruption Tailor-made Training for representatives of Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) Member States is a three-day programme for anti-corruption and compliance practitioners. It is custom-designed to build a common knowledge base and strengthen regional capacities to combat corruption.

This IACA tailor-made training is co-sponsored by the Russian Federation.

OVERVIEW

Combining theory and practice, the training aims to strengthen practitioners’ capacities to better understand international and regional best practices, develop effective ethics and integrity mechanisms, and mitigate cross-sectoral risks.

Participants will get the opportunity to learn from and interact with renowned academics and professionals from various disciplines and with diverse backgrounds. The programme will allow participants to enrich their knowledge through guidelines, best practice examples, and interactive exercises. Topics will include, among others, international anti-corruption legal measures, the region’s experience in combating corruption, collective action, public procurement, and public-private partnerships.

A study visit to the Vienna International Centre (United Nations Office in Vienna) is included in the programme.

ADMISSION

 Admission Requirements

  • Citizen of a Member State of the Eurasian Economic Union*
  • Minimum of three years of relevant work experience in a Member State of the EAEU
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and Russian

Participants will be admitted on a competitive basis, taking into account their professional and academic experience.

Tuition Fee

The tuition fee is covered by the organizers.

Accommodation & Meals

Participants will be accommodated in a hotel in Vienna. Costs for accommodation, meals, and daily shuttle transportation in Laxenburg/Vienna are covered by the organizers.

Travel

Participants are responsible for their own travel arrangements between Vienna and their home countries and any associated costs.

Insurance

Participants are responsible for their own medical insurance and any associated costs.

Visa

Participants requiring a visa for Austria are responsible for their own visa arrangements and any associated costs.

PREVIOUS TRAININGS

The second tailor-made training for EAEU practitioners took place at IACA in October 2017 and brought together participants from the public and private sectors, civil society, international organizations, NGOs, and academia. Topics included international efforts to curb corruption, public-private partnerships, public procurement, conflicts of interest, anti-money laundering, and combating the financing of terrorism.
